Despite their valiant efforts, the people of St. Cloud MN were unable to contain and destroy the May 2008 outbreak. Most of modern civilization is in ruin and the damned roam freely. A few small groups of survivors have organized a militia; known as The Resistance (the founders were too tired to be original).
Through primitive communications, such as amateur radio, and even runners in some cases, they have agreed on a mission intent on finding more survivors, eradicating the un-dead and retaking earth.
The militia is broken into 4 individual "companies", named Avenger, Barbarian, Crusader, and Deliverers of Death and Destruction (D Company is made up almost entirely of air-softers that were given weapons by generous surviving ARFCOMER’s)
You are a member of 1st platoon, Avenger Company, comprised of those that survived the initial outbreak. Located at the heart of the outbreak, Avenger has seen the heaviest fighting... and has suffered the heaviest losses. Last night, 3 scouts from 2nd platoon reported masses of zombies in a frenzy in the vicinity of the intersection of Hwy 23 and Hwy 10. A few sporadic gunshots indicated two important facts, there were survivors, and they had weapons. 1st platoon has been assigned to search for survivors to join the company, or gather weapons and ammo if they are too late.
