Testimonials
I'd just like to say thanks for a great firearm. I recently purchased one of your A-15 Carbines. I have put roughly 700 rounds through it and not one single problem, other than my marksmanship! Soon I will be purchasing another of your rifles, probably in one of the more"exotic" calibers. I'm looking closely at the .338 Federal! Anyway, thanks for a fine product! I'm proud to own one in my small collection.
Your loyal customer,
Bryan Harrison
To whom it may concern,
I just recently purchased the DPMS LR 308. As I have been and avid .223/5.56 shooter, and mostly used the Bushmaster series of firearms, I must say that the LR-308 is one sweet shooting rifle.
I have two rifles in the 308 caliber, and must agree with your write up on your web page. The LR-308 did in fact out shoot one of my 308's on the 300 yard range.
Our shooting club is now using the Homeland Security facility, and I put it thru the SWAT and SWAT SNIPER range and it never failed to perform. In fact, it out performed my .308 sniper rifle.
I will be looking at your site more often for any new items and hope to see a complete upper assembly in the .223/5.56 that will work on the DPMS system that I have now.
Keep up the great work. Hope to see new inovations soon.
Proud Owner of a DPMS,
Joe Gilbert
To Whom It May Concern:
I just wanted to take a few minutes and thank you for your great customer service. Here is my story, after hearing all the great reviews of the LR .308 with its accurate fire and being a Marine (rifleman) I knew I had to have one. I purchased one and waited 6 weeks to get it. After I received it and broke in the barrel (according to your specs) I shot it for accuracy. I tried black hills match (168 and 175), tried Speer match and Mil M118 LR match and just could not get the rifle to shoot less then 4 moa. I was shocked; I have a DPMS M4 that will shoot better then that. I sent an email to Shane Cuperus, and he responded right back. He thought it might have to do with the polymer mags. I sent the 2 in and he replaced them for no cost. Unfortunately that did not solve the problem; I then sent another e-mail to Mr. Cuperus. Again immediately responded, he stated that I should send the rifle in to look at. Now I know DPMS has great customer service but I must confess I expected the rifle to be sent back with a big note saying there is nothing wrong. Well, that is not what happened; I got an email right away saying yes there was a problem and that the barrel would be replaced for free. A few weeks later my rifle arrived and to my surprise along with a brand new barrel there was a free 20rd steel mag (all my polymer mags were replaced for steel at no extra charge). Well as I do live in Washington the weather can be an issue. I broke the barrel in again and then the rifle sat in the safe for nearly a year. Once the weather was right (last week ) I took the rifle out and got to business. I shot the rifle again with Black Hills match and Mil M118 LR match( benefits of a Marine working in a Army base) everything shot great even Mil ball ammo. Nothing over 1 MOA, the best by far was the M118LR shot a 5 shot group at 100 meters and was rewarded with a .61? group (that includes a called flyer). To say I am impressed is an understatement in both DPMS?s Customer service and fine rifles. You have a customer for life.
Chris
Dear DPMS,
I wanted to commend you on what a fine product you make. I just purchased a DPMS AP4 in .308. I did not have high accuracy hopes for it because I did not think that any semi-auto gun with a 16" barrel could shoot sub MOA without extensive modifications. I just took it to the range this weekend and discovered that the rifle shoots 0.30 MOA with the right ammo. I never would have thought it would be possible out of any rifle with a 16" barrel, and especially a semi auto. I am sending a picture of the target (with a ruler and a dime in the picture for context) to the dealer for proof of this and am happy to send it to you as well if you'd like (because I know that no one will probably ever believe me without the picture). The accuracy of that little rifle with it's 16" barrel is far superior to that of my Springfield M1A National Match.
Thanks again for making such a fantastic product.
Luke
Me and a really close friend was talking the other day about "Auto" verses "Bolt" . Anyway, I told him I would put my 24inch s/s .308 auto up against his bolt action(not saying name of his gun) but was a nice piece. We took aim at a coke can stuffed into a bail of hay at 150 yards. Now this can was in the round bail long ways so had a really small round target to hit. Well he took his first shot and missed, I layed the DPMS across the hood of my truck and took the can out first shot... He wanted to try again and only to have the same results....lol He now is a believer, (no charge to you) ha/ha... I have a 72 lpm 3rd gen night scope on it now so look out hogs, I see ya but ya cant see me....

To Whom it May Concern, Just thought I'd write you and let you know my opinion on the Panther. I'm getting ready to finish up DoS (Designated Defensive Marksman) training at High Desert Special Operations Center (HDSOC) in Hawthorne, NV. We've been shooting the Panther for about 2 weeks now. The rifle is AWESOME!! The only complaints the operators have had is the trigger, which I don't think came from you guys anyway. It could also use an extended charging handle lever, but those are small things. I'm actually very serious about buying one for myself. I'm hoping DoS buys these or something very similar to these over in the "box." If we have a choice or a say, we're recommending these for sure!
Thanks for the great work, -Brock Childress
Wow is all I can say about my AR 223. I have the A3 with the 24" stainless barrel, nothing fancy. I use this rifle for coyote hunting. I also work at a gun range part time and I'm always hearing about "the Colt® this," "Armalite® that," "Bushmaster® whatever!" I finally got my fill of it and told these men, who also work there part time, to shut up and let's go to the range. It was agreed that we will all shoot the same ammo (Winchester 45gr. HP) and that we would shoot only one shot because the cold shot tells the truth. After all was said and done the DPMS took it to the bank! They all started saying "okay now let's use reloads and see what happens" and all I could say was sorry I don't need reloads and I don't reload. To make a long story short, I don't think DPMS gets enough publicity through magazines and such, but you can bet your *$% they do at this North Texas Range.

Gentleman, Just wanted to drop you a line and compliment you on the high quality of your products. For a long time now I have heard mixed reviews of your products via the internet and at shows and the like. Recently I was at a show and on a whim purchased a lower parts kit for a project I was working on. I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised-- expecting to have to do some "tweaking" to get parts to fit and whatnot (this had been my experience in the past with other parts manufacturers and suppliers) everything was absolutely perfect-- the fit and finish of the parts was top notch and everything went together perfectly. One of the smoothest builds I have ever done. PERIOD. You have my respect, admiration, and provided you keep turning out quality parts, my business. Nice to see somebody in this country still knows how to make a quality product and run a business. Thanks again....

I recently purchased a Lo-Pro Classic which is supposedly your "no frills" rifle. I originally had a very cheap tactical type scope on it and had a 1.5 inch group at 100 yards, as soon as I had the scope dialed in. A week later I decided that the scope wasn't good enough, so I put a much better scope on it and as soon as I had it sited in, I had a 100 yard group all touching each other. This was at about 130 rounds through the gun. I would love to see what could be done with a top of the line tactical scope. I can't say enough about your products, keep up the good work!

Guys, Just an FYI to let you know how much I like my new rifle. For years I've been brainwashed into thinking rifles like the AR-type were just another assault rifle. Like some of this junk that has no purpose, except killing people in times of war. The method os use was simply to spray down an area with as many bullets as you can and as fast as you can. Then maybe you might possibly hit your target with at least one bullet. It just didn't seem right to buy a frearm with this much inaccuracy...but this has changed my mind. In January 06, I purchased one of your rifles. I had made up my mind on a very small amount of info and experience on the AR type rifle. I had only fired another brand of this type rifle and wasn't satisfied with it, at all... (shhh, it was an Armalite®...) I didn't like the feel of it. Big, bulky, iron-sighted with the glass mounted on top of the carry handle. It seemed to have about a 4# trigger pull and it took 2 fingers to get it to hold on target. This slowed me up for buying one for a year or so. When the rifle fired, it sounded like a BB gun spring in my ears and was quite distracting to me. The reason I did buy one of your rifles was the testimonials of so many people, all of whom were glad to tell me about their rifle experiences. That's not to say anything about the construction of the frame, which is quite a bit heavier than the others. When I picked up your rifle it felt great in my hands and though it is a bit barrel heavy, it is easy to handle. The trigger pull is smoother and lighter than several I have tried. She is short and sweet and will be perfect for coyote hunting. I had the opportunity to sight it in and got it close. It vaporizes golf balls at 50 yds, on a regular basis. (I think I'm going to put a 6x24x40mm scope on it though, my red dot covers up the golf ball.) To say the least, I am extremely happy with it and plan to buy another this summer to get ready for a fall pprairie dog hunt. The myth has been broken and maybe this will change the mindset of sooo many hunters in my area. I would like to try this rifle in .22 cal. sometime. I see you offer one in that caliber....
-Chris Mason, very satisfied....
